A horse called LuckyThe horse was more beat that a dead Injun as I nosed my way up through the gorge.  I could feel the heat bouncing off the dirt and hitting me in the face so that the sweat trickled down into my three day beard and mingled with the trail dust.  It was still only mid-morning.  I took a swig of whiskey and dug my spurs into the horse to try and persuade a little more life into it.  
My brother Joe said this was no life for a man, with no woman to keep you warm at nights and only an old six-shooter for company.  Reckon he was jealous; this is the only life for a man.  He’s got his hundred head of cattle and his wife and three daughters and he’s gotten woman soft, beef-fed fat.  Hell, Joe can’t hardly ride a horse no more.  If the goddamn Injuns come pay him a visit, with his swelled fat hands that can barely pull a trigger, Joe and all his pretty little girls gonna be deader than that Mexican they lynched up at Frisco. Not th PiePie, a food I never willfully (by dining alone, say) gorge outright.  
Howsoever disgust restrains the id the superego, that worthy (by 'worthy' read low, dim, pedantic) - but no further principal - drive, surrenders to depraved gluttony.  That a prominent epicure - a famous authority - nay, unrivaled moderator and notable judge & arbitrator - would renounce as obediently restraint, betrays that intrinsic weak will.
Munch.  Succumbed to pie.  Delightful ecstasy! Although a potato, leek, watercress, humble ol’ luncheon pastry, it enraptures satiated tastebuds.  Ambrosial esculent!  
Taxing of cincture supervenes.  Oof, that dyspepsy.  
In truth, ‘tis just.  
Ow.  O!  A stomach dreadfully unwell.  Gaseous, flatulent, shameful.  At a weak juncture, discipline founders, washed abaft & let go.  Bubbling of air, numberless little sharts pass trouser.  
Absolutely nevermore, pie.
Stirring next arvo, behold unconsumed remainder.  Scoff whole comestible.  Agony develops.  Ow.
If pie Extra curricularDean Tobit glared at the students and delivered the Benedictus with genuine menace.  The students, long inured to such threat, laid into the fare with good-natured clatter ere the final “Amen”.  Timothy, ushered to High Table halfway through the Grace, earned a stare of especial venom from the Dean which continued throughout the meal.  As Tobit stabbed and chewed each periwinkle, he shot Timothy a look that suggested the mollusc was a mere temporary surrogate for his black humour.  The woman at the end of the table – mother of one of the Fellows, he assumed – smiled at him encouragingly.  Timothy, overwhelmed by the journey, the reception, the sheer size of the dining hall and most of all by Dean Tobit, could scarcely eat a bite.  Not wanting to appear reticent in front of his new colleagues, however, he drank moderately from the claret that was passed around as the second dessert – a lavender pastry confection delicately flavoured with mint and ora

In the center of the stage there is a large tubular steel structure knocked over on its side and a gash exploded out from within. From the back of the factory, a GIRL enters through a heavy sliding door and approaches the center structure; a few seconds later, a BOY enters after and shuts the door behind.)BOY
(humming) Hum-drum...hum-drum...hum-di-drum...hum-di-drum-drum...(GIRL goes to a vat, reaches in, and takes out a basket. BOY takes a piece of chalk out of his pocket and begins drawing a rectangle on the ground.)Hum-hum-dum...dum-di-dum-di-dum...
