I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: Cappippuni :iconcappippuni:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.
Quite complex question... I think it isn't so easy to write a self description as we don't have the exact perception others people have of ourselves from an outside view.
To define me in few words, I am a very curious person which always loves to discover and learn new things. Besides that I admit that I am extremely shy and maybe too much dreamy. Oh and I can't resist to yummy chocolate hehe! ;3;

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?
I remember that I enjoyed to search new wallpapers, visual themes and iconsets for my computer on this site when I was a teen then after few years I finally registered an account on deviantART around mid-2008. But I only truly started to use it a year after and felt quickly in love by this community, the starting point where it began and where I had the wonderful chance to meet amazing friends.
The funniest facts I have were my first steps on this site where I randomly uploaded anything in any categories, from doodles to random stuff and hand-drawn iconsets (the only stuff remaining from my first deviations in my gallery)... Fun times... :giggle:
That is why this community will always have a special place in my heart. ♥

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?
My love for art started at a very young age. When I was little my mom always have pencils and few notebooks with her and in which I couldn't stop drawing imaginary little universes I had in my head anywhere we were. I still kept drawing from time to time even if it was less frequent, ah the new hobbies when we grow up...
Then few years ago I discovered a much deeper interest in art especially after I started to learn some details around the different aspects of this field besides my love for illustrations since I was younger.
At last about two years ago from now I decided to do the step to draw what I really love and always wanted to do.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?
I am inspired by cute Kawaii Japanese style which I deeply love and in overall by anything which makes me happy and smiling. What I love the most in them is how their sweetness and simplicity - both visually and emotionally - bring a feeling of happiness to both children and grownups. ^__^
In a different style I also appreciate a lot Scandinavian art and design in their whole aspect, notably by their harmony with the nature and their inspiration to a calm, peaceful lifestyle..
My head is permanently overwhelmed by imagination but the best moment for maximum creativity is when I put my headphones and a big cup of tea of coffee in the evening or - even better - in the very early morning. Aaaah this is probably my favorite time of the day, looking at the lights of the streets from the window, this moment before people and the sun wake up...

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?
I couldn't think anything else which doesn't use the spirit of imagination. If it wasn't into the illustration field it would totally be into a creative area.
Or maybe inventing a machine which could magically produce endlessly ice creams! ^3^

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?
Hmm I would be hard to choose as I could only upload few deviations last year, but in the work I had in my gallery it would a series of three little characters - Purr Love, Bee Happy and Dear Deer - or maybe everything else with a bunny, because I loooooove cats and bunnies!! *o*

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?
The dilemma is that I am still searching my own style and thus sometimes proceed to sudden changes when I like an experiment I made.
In fact at this moment I'm playing with different styles for my characters. But now my concern and next focus is about the overall style as said before, this part about the themes, technique, palettes and composition as my current work is not exactly what I have in mind.
Looking at my old works help me to seek my path and trying to do better than my previous work by going outside of the comfort zone step by step. Advices of other artists greatly help too.
The biggest issue I had is that I couldn't work as I wanted on art projects in 2013 due to personal reasons. Thankfully I can make new art again after that long year.
The best and most essential advice is to never, never give up.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?
Oh yes. I wouldn't enter into the details of my life but art is probably what help me the most to deal with the life everyday, bringing lots of happiness and optimism like a colorful rainbow in a dark sky. Art is a wonderful way of expression and communication, both directly or indirectly.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?
One day I really hope to be able to visit several countries around the world I wish to go. And also discovering an unicorn. ^w^

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?
Do what you love and love what you do, being happy doing what you love will lead you to what you deeply want inside your heart.
Follow your dreams and always stay a child at heart!
