As the title suggests, this news article's goal is to spread the dA love into everyone's heart! You will find here a little bit of everything, from awesome interviews with talented artists, art features, group promotion to random deviants' features. I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: Urbanator :iconurbanator:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.

I suppose I'm not a very confident person in most situations, but when I immerse myself in art, I become far more confident as a whole. I find it much easier to work by myself with my pic making, being able to truely immerse myself, my thoughts and my imagination into making scenes that people will love. I've certainly discovered a more artistic side to me that I never knew I was capable of in these last few years.

:bulletyellow: How did you found out about deviantART and why did you join the community?

Having been a member on deviantART for some time before I even got into submitting my own artwork, I originally came to DA as it had become one of the more popular and renowned sites on the net. It's easy to share your art with other groups and the community has been very welcoming!

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?

Probably at some point in my youth. I often liked to draw in my freetime and attened art sessions at school. However, only now in these last few years when I started playing around with Gmod/SFM and Photoshop have I really begun to love doing 3D posing and editing. The Source Filmmaker, which I'm working with now is an amazing programme - and I won't be giving up on it anytime soon. I might even do some animating later on!

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?

Difficult question. Inspiration to me can come in many forms, but I can try and pinpoint a few. I suppose some of the main and obvious ones could be films, pictures, music, video games (those last two inparticular are probably my biggest sources of inspiration for sure). But I'm inspired by many things in life - other artists on DA for example, they've been a major boost to my inspiration, and no doubt they'll continue inspiring me.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?

Hah, I honestly have no clue. I suppose had I not decided to get involved in this, I would have a lot more free time on my hands! But thats irrelevant now, I'm just looking forward to doing my next pic!

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?

Most meaningfull deviation? Hmmm, Ravage of the Blight was one of my first truely large scaled images to date, my first image to reach over 2000 favs and also was rewared with a daily deviation. So that one will certainly be a memorable pic. My latest, Come Get Some! is also another fav, not just for the effort it took to pose and edit it, but Jon St John who voices Duke Nukem has it as his facebook cover photo!

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?

Oh yes, I always feel I could improve upon every piece I have done in some way or another. But this is how I strive to better myself as a whole. I'd be surprised if most peope did not have insecurities regarding their artwork.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?

Although I wouldn't say it's helped me with 'life problems', it has helped me get the creative juices flowing. It's a lot of fun and I enjoy seeing how other people respond to my pictures too!

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?

Gone to university maybe? Or maybe tried to follow a career in voice acting or something? I don't really know!

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?

One thing that has always helped me and something I've advised to some of my friends is to never EVER rush your art. Take your time, be patient, listen to the advice and critque from others. But most importantly, have fun!

The Birds         -Birds
If only I could mimic these beautiful sounds.
I realized after some time that my vocals
were far too rough to ever produce such a tone.
I pivoted where I stood to view my bulbous back,
stretching my arms across my frame in search of wings.
I dropped them back to my side in bitter disappointment.
I felt lost as the last of them departed,
disappearing over the distance horizon.
My HolidayI wish you could have seen,
the big blue sea,
how it would shine,
in the colours you like.
I wish you could have seen,
Our chalet by the sea,
And share the swing on the terrance,
as it rocked back and forth,
with the waves rolling in.
I wish you could have seen:
The soft white sand,
The fish in the water,
The anemone sway,
The clownfish flutter.
I wish you could have seen...
Oh, wait! I don't!
I wish you were there,
I wish you were here.
Ocean Captiveplease,
awaken from this
captivity.

you’ve become a servant to the ocean,
obeying its every command –
succumbing to its demanding beauty,
hypnotised by the tranquillity.
waves,
       (rising and falling.)
waves,
       (falling and rising.)
you fragile, broken thing,
a beautiful golden fool –
your frame filling with
salt-water;
bones stiffening, skin wrinkling
blood turning blue.
you’re visiting the ocean’s depths,
welcoming the cruel world below;
but those lungs of yours are burning,
and those soft eyes are questioning –
so open
       (sapphire.)
so hopeful,
       (yet wavering.)
please,
you ocean captive,
open your eyes
and
swim to the top –
and breathe the air,
once again.

If we were to sinkDoes it still scare you if we were
To die at the same time?
I never knew we would sink
So delicately.
The Fault in my StarYou were the fault in my star
Though I question who you are
For you I would have crossed each God
and faithfully be lost
You asked once and this I reply
The Gods meant nothing when I laid within your eyes
You say you love another still
But I'll wait here on this Continental shelf
For what is love placed to faith
The Gods retreated from me in your space
And gladly I was lost
Void of all their light
Dear Shadow
You shine brighter than their might
I laugh at this Blasphemy
Because you made me all I'm meant to be
And not years of proud study
None of that ever taught me
Who I really was
Who I'm meant to be
And now I know
Its sickening
What is power placed to faith?
What is rage without anything to stake?
What is light without your dark
Your mighty dragon spark
Lost in this of sea blue
Maybe someday I can look upon you
And say
You were the one
That caused this fall from faith
